So far things have had their ups and downs. I have been very emotional about everything, thanks to the hormones... but we are adjusting. Miss you all and love you!

Colorado Adventure Begins!
You know when they say that getting there is half the fun? I am here to tell you that that statement is utterly false. We left a night earlier than we had planned to try to brake up the drive. Ariah slept part of the way but woke up at about 11pm crying that her throat hurt. (she had a terrible cough) That last hour of the drive took FOREVER because there were no places to stay in sight. We finally found a trusty place (Little America) that I didn't feel there were for sure going to be bed bugs to greet us in our bed. With a good nights sleep behind us we made the rest of the trip with little complaint until this EXPLOSION on the freeway! Landon and I thought for sure we had lost the car off the trailer or something bad. Instead we had this....
You see all that rubber people leave on the freeway? Yeah that was us. Completely shredded! Can it get worse? Well we were only 15 min from home. I was thanking my lucky stars that it had happened in civilization and not the night before in the middle of nowhere when this pulled up....
Really this is the guy that is going to save us?! I guess his bumper stickers should not have been allowed to cloud my judgement, I mean "Condi Rice: You go girl" and "I love my munchkin" among many others should have been reassuring right?
He was actually a great guy and Landon even gave him his last precious Mtn Dew and a cash tip since we told him we were in a hurry to get home to meet up with our helpers. He told Landon that he would kick it up and notch and "expedite" this. He seriously ran back and forth between the cars and Landon got a good laugh out of how he sat on his feet like he was still in kindergarten.
ILots of toys and food squished on my feet the whole drive...
Ariah did really good in the car. It helped that I was VERY prepared with tons of stuff to do!!
We made it! After an hour sitting on the side of the road we drove the last 15 min to our new place.
Front with attached garage.
Back with our little fenced off section then it opens up into a shared yard between the backs of the houses
Our "yard" The landlord gave Landon permission to tear out the rocks and he would pay us to fix it up.
This is our family room. It is the right through the front door. Lots of room for Ariah to play and room for my couches!!
The kitchen. Poor Landon sometimes is too educated about appliances and is disappointed with what we ended up with but they work. We just have to turn the tv WAY up when running the dishwasher or when the fridge turns on. Also in the kitchen we have two doors that open up to the laundry and another BIG pantry! I almost don't know what to do with myself when having all this space!
This is at the top of the stairs. The staircase goes along the wall in the family room. Not shown is the door for our bedroom on the left, then there is the utility room then shown is the bathroom, the office, then Ariah's room.
Here is our room. Wish the closet was bigger but we have two others to fill. It is the window on the front of the house.
The bathroom. We LOVE how deep the tub is. I have yet to try it out but I am waiting to have a good book and lots of time.
Ariah's room. Her window is on the back of the house.
The office is our last project if you can't tell.
And this is the view from the front door and to the left. A PARK! Ariah loves having it so close and it makes up for not having a fun yard to play in. (no thats not Ariah wondering off in the picture)
So far things have had their ups and downs. I have been very emotional about everything, thanks to the hormones... but we are adjusting. Miss you all and love you!
