Lainey Long Locks

So I love my short hair. It is so easy to do but some days I wish it was still long. Kamber to the rescue! She had some hair extensions that were not the right color for her hair. So she gave them to me! I was so excited. I got them a few months ago but my short hair stuck out like a sore thumb. I try it on about once every few weeks to see if it will work. Today I just went for it and it looks pretty good!

Wedding

Well it is all over. The last wedding in the Ricks family! We had a lot of fun getting together for Justin's wedding. We were lucky enough to be in the SLC temple for it! It was so pretty to be inside and outside the temple. It's so crazy to think about all the history in that temple and to think I was inside. We didn't go to a session but it is for sure on the list of things to do in my life. I am so happy for Justin and Ashley, they are so great together and they are going to have so much fun! They both looked so happy it just brings back memories of my special day. After the ceremony we all waited for the to come out together. I can't believe how much my family has grown from 6 kids to all of us being married and 10 and 1/4 grandkids!

Then on Monday we decided to skip school and go to Lagoon! Two of my brothers and their families went so it was fun to be with them. One of my favorite parts was going on the rides with Lily, Noah and Aiden. They are sure brave little souls to go on those big rides but they just love it.

Rexburg Air Show

This morning was the air show so we packed up some snacks and some chairs drove to a park that sits right on the end of the runway. It was so cool to watch the planes take off and fly right above us. Grandpa and Grandma Layton came which was really cool. Grandpa Jack is a retired Col. in the Air force and got to fly the fastest spy plane in the world. He is actually off record the fastest man on the earth. In the plane he flew he could fly from Rexburg to Salt Lake in 15 min! So it was cool to hear him tell us about all the planes. The planes did a lot of tricks and flybys. It was awesome.

John Deere

Since I was very little one of my most favorite things was to ride in the farm machinery with my dad. Something about the noise of the engine and having to yell over it to hear each other really made it special time together. So when I heard that my mom and dad were going to use the tractor for some lawn improvements I was in! I climbed up into my usual spot on the armrest and settled in (my bootie sure is not the same size it was a few years ago, it was a bit of a squeeze) We drove the tractor up on the hill by my house to get a rock to add for decoration in the garden. It was scary to be in the tractor on such skinny trails but my dad has good tractor driving skills! We put the rock in the bucket and took it down to my mom's house. Landon and I helped dig a hole to put the rock in so it would sit upright. It was a lot of fun and it sure looks nice! Thanks for the adventure mom and dad!

I was able to go to Boise for a special event in the family. My nieces, Carly and Megan were baptised. It was so cute to see them all grown up and making the right choices. On the other hand I remember when they were born and how tiny they were! I is so crazy how fast time goes by! I love any opportunity I get to sped time with my family and their kids. They are all so cute! I am excited for Justin's wedding so I can see everyone again!
