Seriously?!

You are way to little to be getting into this much trouble!! She knows this is where I stash the stuff I don't want her to get into. She just climbs up and hangs out... crazy girl!!

Halloween

Since Halloween fell on Sunday I thought it would be funny to pop in the buckteeth bink at church. We got some good laughs and attention. Ariah had no idea why she was getting so much attention all she knew was that she liked it :)

Mommy and baby giraffe. I had a mo-hawk like the giraffes do.
Lynden the puppy and Ariah the giraffe.

Lynden was hilarious with his nose painted black, when he first came over he had to show us all that his nose was colored.

We love going to play with aunt Wendi. We always have a ton of fun. She also helps me keep control of my little crazy girl!

I was watching Lynden for a few minuets and he thought he needed to help feed Ariah. So he scooped up bites for her and put them in her mouth. She was good and cooperated. Glad he can practice before his little sister comes.
If you look close you can see Ariah has flip flops on. She loves them!! Too bad they still didn't fit in September. She would walk three steps and they would flip off. She would get a panicked face and run to me saying "uh-oh" over and over until I got the shoe back on. The process would continue for about 10 min. Then once she had them on and felt sturdy she would go dance in the kitchen because she loved the sound they made on the linoelum. She is so much fun!

Lynden comes to visit

This is the only way the kids can play and not fight like cats and dogs. Ha ha when ever Lynden is outside he comes to say hi whether the window is open or not. Ariah loves when he pops in.

Ariah at 16 months

This little baby has quickly turned into a girl and I cannot believe how fast it went. She is so much fun to play with and is so interactive now.

Here are a few of my favorite things:
  • She loves to play with her baby dolls, she will hold them and rock them and sing to them just how I do it to her. It melts my heart.
  • She is a great hugger. I never thought I would have the baby that would lean her head on my shoulder and put her little arm around my neck. When she does it I wish I could hold onto that moment forever.
  • I love the times she gets to lay in bed with us when I usually hold her close she will put her arm around my neck and her leg around my waste. Oh it is such a great moment in my life.

Some new talents:

She loves to say cheese for the camera.

She loves to climb the kitchen chairs and stand on the table when I am not looking. (our chairs stay tipped over most of the time now to help her avoid temptation)

She is a great singer:
Me: Old McDonald had a farm...
Ariah: E-i-E-i-E-i-Ye-Yi-YOOOOO
Me: and on that farm he had a duck
Ariah: E-I-OHHH
Me: with a..
Ariah: Cack- Cack- Cack

A little spicy personality:
  • She is very vocal if she wants or does not want something. If she wants it she says Mommy, mommy, mommy continually until you get it for her. And if she does not want something she says no, no, no, no until you get it out of her sight or get her something she wants instead.
  • She is very DETERMINED! She will try over and over to do what she wants no matter how many obstacles are in her way. For example, she likes to try to climb on the couch. That girl will try for a good fifteen minuets to climb up there. In the mean time she does not get frustrated often she just tries harder until she reaches her breaking point Enter the tantrum era..... Sometimes this is a great quality but other times when she wants to do something inappropriate it is very frustrating for Landon and I to get her to change her mind.
Other quirks:

She is a dipper. If she will not try a new food we break out the ketchup or yogurt or some other form of dip and she will try anything.

Meal time is also full of a lot of mind games, we have to convince her that it is yummy or that there is something in there like raisins that she loves so she will try it.

She loves to smear her food all over her tray if I let her and feeding herself is often the only option to get her to eat.
Ariah and Franchesca are loving that thier mom's let loose with the pudding

I am teaching her body parts and more often that not she likes to find them on someone else rather than herself. She will honk just about anyone's nose or tickle their toes. She also likes to find others belly buttons. I just think that it is because her little tummy sticks out so far she can't see her own. :)

She loves to sing and dance

She can spot a dog from a mile away and excitedly shouts "Puppy, A Puppy!"

Each time she hears an Airplane she reaches her hand to the sky and shouts "Airpane!" even if we are in the house.

She loves to dump out all her toys at once. (We are working on a solution to that, don't ask me how that is going)

So to sum it all up we are having the time of our lives and loving just about every moment! Love you Ariah!!

Good to the last drop

Lets run away so we can play!!!

Ariah and Grandma and I went to Boise to play! We went to a little swim park with Wendi's family and Ariah loved the little kid area. Her favorite was the "lides" (slide) She would climb all the stairs with aunt Wendi and sit down and go herself down the slide. Even when her lips were blue and she was shivering from head to toe she would say over and over "lides?"

Shane and Seph took us out on their boat and to dock. It was so fun! Ariah loved to play in the sand and I wish I could say as much for sitting in the boat. She had fun until we hit major bumps then she was upset.

Yay for wake-boarding! But my arms were so sore after this I could not even pick up Ariah for more than 10 seconds. It was so fun!

Grandma's still got it!!

All the girls on the tube. Carly kept telling me I screamed like a kid... well I DID! It was way to fun to keep it all in!

Rigby Lake

Lets see if you can guess how this day ends! My mom and I went to Rigby lake with my friends (Landon had to work) for my birthday. We played in the sand and in the water and had a fun time.
Yes Ariah stole all the shovels from Franchesca one by one... We thought good her hands are full with two shovels so Franchesca can have one. Oh we were wrong she somehow was able to steal that last shovel.

Did you guess the ending?

Yeah it poured!!!! It rained a couple of sprinkles then stopped. We all said its a good thing we live in Rexburg it never rains for long. Then nature had to throw us a little shocker! It rained so hard everything was soaked and even our umbrellas were letting water through. Don't you just love the adventures life throws at us!

Frist Zoo Trip

We went for my birthday, it was so hot so most of the animals were being lazy in the shade just like we wanted to be.
I did get Ariah to tell the lions "no no no kitty kitty" (see previous post)
Her favorite animals were the birds, most likely because they moved the most and were the loudest.
