The day after my birthday my mom's ward was going on a hike in Darby Canyon. My mom said she heard that the hike was really pretty and that there is a waterfall at the top. I decided I needed some exercise and it would be fun so off we went. The hike up was okay, it was shady but it was steep and my backpack was heavy so it was hard work. It took us 3 hours to get to the waterfall. The waterfall has two parts, it is runoff from the snow and comes out underground from a cave and drops off into a small stream below. The water was so cold we all just wanted to take a drink. Then the hike down took about two hours. When I got home my legs were jelly so I kicked back and relaxed the rest of the night. It was a fun day.

So my mom is recording this. Keep in mind that this is just the top of the waterfall and there is a huge hundred foot drop downstream. I slip a little and my mom, being a mom, makes a noise only a mom would make when her baby is in possible danger. What a good mom! Cracks me up!
